Quality & traceability
Quality control you can check, batch by batch
One grade sheet, five checkpoints, one lot number. What follows is the exact chain a buyer can ask to see, rather than a general claim about standards.
Grade sheet
Written before packing
Cold chain
Logged per container
Documents
Issued against the lot
Checkpoints
Five places a lot is checked
Each checkpoint has a document behind it. Where a lot falls outside the agreed specification, it is flagged before packing rather than after arrival.
Harvest readiness
Maturity, brix sample and field heat checked before picking is released.
Harvest readiness sheet per block
Intake and grading
Size, colour and defect tolerances applied against the agreed grade sheet.
Written grade specification
Pre-cooling
Pulp temperature and time-to-cool recorded after packing.
Pre-cooling time log
Packing
Carton count, label, pallet pattern and seal checked before dispatch.
Packing instruction sheet
Pre-shipment check
Sampling repeated and container set point confirmed with the carrier.
Pre-shipment inspection record
Traceability chain
One lot number, five records
The lot code is assigned before harvest and stays with the fruit through packing, inspection and document release.
Example reference
LOT 26-0X-0001
Format shown for illustration. Codes are assigned per shipment.
Lot number
Assigned before harvest and carried on every carton.
Harvest & sorting
Block, picking date and grading result attached to the lot.
Pre-cool & pack
Packing date, cold room entry time and carton count recorded.
Pre-shipment inspection
Final sampling result and container set point added.
Export documents
Phytosanitary, origin and inspection files issued against the lot.
Documents & compliance
Paperwork issued against the load
Documentation is prepared per destination requirement. Sample files are added once verified copies are provided by the export desk.
Phytosanitary certificate
Sample pending
Certificate of origin
Sample pending
Inspection report
Issued per lot on request
Cold-chain temperature log
Recorded per container
Arrival feedback
If a lot does not match, we check the record
Report
Arrival findings are recorded against the lot number, with photos where possible.
Review
The lot record is pulled: grading result, cold-chain log and inspection notes.
Respond
Findings are answered in writing and, where relevant, fed into the next grade sheet.
Include the lot number and destination port so we can pull the right file.
